Are you or anyone you know running for election to hold
one of the many offices in your local area, state, or national governments? If not, ask yourself why.

Brought to our attention is there are tens of thousands
of homeless veterans, many disabled, living on the streets, under bridges, and anywhere else they can find to stay, day by
day, across the United States of America. For example: in Kansas City alone there are more than 1700 veterans (that is more
than One Thousand Seven Hundred) men and women, living homeless. Fact is; that situation can be taken care of ‘overnight’
by families, household by household, inviting one homeless veteran to live with them.
Yes, it means supporting another person, a ‘stranger’,
with your wherewithal. Yet, considering the personal and social benefits, including public health issues, too numerous to
mention here, it is a small price to pay to give back to those who gave their all within the military to assure the safety
and conveniences you now enjoy. It is possible within the scope of present legal formality to form adoption or foster style
arrangements with every municipality across our land, possibly through the local sheriff offices, to facilitate being on a
voluntary caretaker’s list.
This is not because anybody personally deserves it. It is
because of who we are as a people. Every homeless person is an American – a citizen of the United States of America.
Be careful; prideful picking and choosing a viable candidate to extend your generosity can be a selfish judgmental deliberation
that denies your risk of faith. And remember, non-veteran homeless people are
veterans of their own circumstantial battles. A compassionate population that takes care of its own, no matter the difficulties,
is a population that exemplifies humanity as civilized and honorable.
